About us
What a food journey our products and ingredients have been! From the small, local farms in the Greek countryside to Swedish catering and restaurants that share our passion for Mediterranean food. Our promise to you as a customer and your guests is good, genuine flavors of the highest quality.
Fontana Food is a family business. Since its inception in 1978, the Papadopoulos family has been an ambassador for food from Greece and the countries around the Mediterranean in Sweden. In the 1980s, Fontana's founder Frixos Papadopoulos was the first in Sweden to sell the classic halloumi, which is now loved all over the country.
Now we are taking the next step in our food journey with Greek street food. With gyros and pita bread, we bring the authentic feeling from the streets of Greece to Swedish restaurants and catering - simple, flavorful and with a real Mediterranean feel.
Fontana has always cherished a sustainable society with care for people, animals and nature. It is part of our heritage and something that permeates our business to this day.
