We transform ordinary vegetables into tasty, finished products – a new concept for shops, restaurants and cafes

UASMAK AB is a newly started Swedish food company in Lerum municipality that works with vegetable processing and development of ready-made vegetable products for grocery stores, restaurants, cafés and foodservice. Our idea is to show a new side of well-known vegetables and create products that are easy to use, flavorful, colorful and ready to eat. We work with well-known raw materials such as carrots, beetroot, various types of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beans and other vegetables, but give them a new taste, texture and a modern finished format. The products are manufactured without heat treatment. Through our processing and seasoning, the vegetables retain their fresh character, texture and color while being ready to serve immediately. The result is appetizing vegetable products that go beyond the traditional salad and offer an alternative to, for example, canned or traditionally pickled vegetables and products with heavy sauces. An important part of the concept is flexibility. The products can be eaten directly as a snack, served as an accompaniment to meat, fish or other dishes, used in salads and bowls or function as a finished component in restaurant and catering kitchens. The same basic idea can therefore be adapted to both the consumer market and professional kitchens. For the grocery trade, UASMAK develops consumer-packaged products in a practical, modern format. For restaurants, cafés and foodservice, we also see opportunities for larger packaging and solutions tailored to the needs of professional customers. UASMAK is in an early growth phase and is now building up its production and commercial partnerships. Our ambition is to develop a long-term and responsible food company with the opportunity to grow together with our customers and partners. In the long term, we also want to develop partnerships with local growers and other companies in the food industry. By creating more areas of use for well-known vegetables, we see opportunities for more resource-efficient production and a stronger connection between raw materials, processing and the market. At FFCR Gothenburg, we primarily want to meet buyers, stores, restaurants, cafes, distributors, wholesalers and other companies interested in new ready-made vegetable products. We are open to product sales, test deliveries, long-term collaborations and other forms of partnership. UASMAK is a young company with big ambitions. We want to develop a new product category where well-known vegetables get a new role – as ready-made, tasty and attractive products for both consumers and professional kitchens.
