The microfarm grows in Urban Food Space's premises in Gamlestan, in the middle of Gothenburg. Here they grow pea shoots, radish shoots, broccoli shoots, sunflower shoots, etc. Everything is grown indoors in organic soil with organic seeds and harvest normally takes place the same day or the day before delivery. The microfarm also sells seeds, growing kits, etc. The organic, non-genetically modified seeds are purchased from Subaseed in Italy, which guarantees the highest quality according to EU standards. Microgreens are the stage between sprouts and small leaves, where the plant is packed with vitamins and antioxidants, and the nutritional content is 4-40 times higher than in the fully grown vegetable. Superfood that is excellent as both a salad and a flavor-enhancing side dish in any meal.
