Self-order kiosks lift the average ticket by 32 percent
More than 1300 restaurants run Qopla today. Guests order themselves, the screen suggests add-ons, the queue clears. Try it at stand B:30.
The number comes from restaurants that have run both setups. Manual till against self-order kiosk, same menu, same location. The difference lands around 32 percent on the average ticket.
Why? The screen never forgets to ask. Sauce, drink, extra topping, upgrade. A stressed cashier in the lunch rush does not.
At the same time the queue clears. Staff stop standing at the till and cook instead. Two effects from the same investment.
Orders go straight to the kitchen screen. Nobody shouting, nobody mishearing.
Come to stand B:30, order a lunch on the screen and watch the whole flow.
