Jasteko – Then and Now!
In the autumn of 1979, it all began with a simple idea.
Jan Kollberg, Sten Kollberg, and Rolf Andersson saw a need – restaurants required better solutions for dishwashing and cleaning. With industry experience and strong relationships behind them, they took the step and founded JOWEKO.

It didn’t take long before they realized something crucial. Customers needed more than products – they needed someone who could solve problems.
“Can you fix the dishwasher as well?”
The answer was obvious: Yes, we’ll take care of it.

And that’s when the journey took a new direction.

JOWEKO Commercial Kitchen Service was born, built on a philosophy that still lives on today: always be there and always find a solution. As customer requests increased, so did the offering. Brushes, sponges, tools… everything had to be close at hand.

The solution? An old telecommunications van.

It was filled with everything that might be needed: welding equipment, tools, detergents, and consumables. This marked the beginning of what would become a signature approach – going out to the customer, ready to solve everything on site. Workdays were long, the pace was high, and “no” simply did not exist.

Over the years, the company grew steadily. New partnerships took shape, including with Diskteknik, and the business continued to evolve. In 2004, a new chapter began: Jasteko was founded, built on the same core idea but in a more modern form. The focus was on structure, planned customer visits, and an even broader offering.

When the next generation joined the company, development accelerated further. The product range expanded, perspectives were renewed, and the ambition grew: to become more than a supplier – to become a complete partner.

Today, Jasteko is a specialized wholesaler with deep expertise in HORECA. We offer a wide and competitive range in dishwashing, hygiene, consumables, commercial kitchen equipment, porcelain, promotional products, kitchen service, and repairs – but above all, we offer something that cannot be packaged: experience, commitment, and presence.
We maintain a strong presence through our own warehouse, our own distribution, and our own technicians.

Through our partnership with WashTek, we have taken the next step and can now support customers across large parts of the country, without losing what has always been our strength: personal contact.
